Mugga Lane Solar Park Officially Opens in ACT

Lion Dancers welcome guests to Mugga Lane Solar Park Opening Ceremony

With a 13MW generation capacity, the Mugga Lane Solar Park is Australia’s largest agriculturally-integrated solar farm. This facility utilises a combination of tracking and ground-mounted arrays consisting of 48,000 panels – enough to power 2,500 ACT homes.

The project, developed by Maoneng Australia, commenced generation in November last year and is one of three solar farms that will provide renewable energy to the Territory to help meet the ACT’s 100% by 2020 Renewable Energy Target.

Mugga Lane Solar Park is located on the corner of Mugga Lane and the Monaro Highway in Canberra’s south, along the ACT’s very own ‘Solar Highway’ that also includes the Royalla and Williamsdale Solar Farms.

The facility is a featured site on SERREE’s Renewable Energy Trail – a self-drive guided trail that showcases the diversity of renewable energy infrastructure sites located within the ACT and south east NSW region.
