Police are seeking information from the public in relation to a road rage incident that led to a 55 year old Royalla man being assaulted.
About 5.05pm Wednesday 16th December 2015, the 55 year old man was driving his truck south on the Old Cooma Road south of Googong. He overtook a Holden Commodore utility travelling in the same direction, and then went continued the move to overtake another small 2 tone sized truck. A vehicle came into view from the other direction and the victim then attempted to merge back into the south bound lane.
The driver of the Commodore utility would not allow the victim to merge back into the lane causing the oncoming vehicle to slow and move off the roadway. The victim managed to merge back into the southbound lane, and continued to travel home.
The driver of the Commodore utility followed the victim to his residence where an argument developed, resulting in the driver of the Commodore utility assaulting the 55 year old man.
The Commodore utility is described as being white fitted with a black tonneau cover, and fitted with clear aftermarket tail lights, and with a small dent near the front driver’s wheel.
The driver of the Commodore utility is described as being male Caucasian, approximately 170 cm in height, believed to be in his mid 20’s. He has short white curly hair and was wearing a green Hi Vis work shirt.
